I did some previous work with a group of my friends, who have an art collective called the Lotus Eaters Club. At the time we were working on an app, and one of the examples of what we were making was making augmented reality art with our artwork. What you would do is purchase the print of the piece of artwork, download the app, and point your camera at it, and the artwork would come to life on your phone with whatever animation the artist decided to accompany with their print. I did mine with a couple of prints, one of them being this "Wildflower" print I made.
I drew and designed the print in Photoshop, and when adapting it to be used for the app, I created an Illustrator vector version of the piece, and I animated the character and text.
This is the vector version of the piece. My goal was to make it as close as possible to the photoshop file.
